Not in the main text. The publisher describes a balanced, easy-to-understand English text, with the literal wording and alternatives given in the translators’ notes. The literal-to-idiomatic meter above shows where readers place its feel.
What are the notes?
More than 60,000 notes of three kinds, in the publisher’s description: translator’s notes on the rationale and alternatives, study notes on background and context, and text-critical notes on variant readings in the manuscripts. They are free online with the text.
What text is it based on?
The publisher says the translators worked directly from the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts, but the pages checked name no edition. The textual basis is marked not published above.
