Lectionary approved
The publisher states that the Vatican approved the ESV Catholic Edition Lectionary on December 9, 2019, and that it is mandated for liturgical use throughout India from Palm Sunday 2020.

The bishops of England and Wales agreed in November 2018 that the ESV Catholic Edition, produced by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India with Crossway, should be the basis of their new Lectionary.

Adopted for the Lectionary
The Bishops' Conference of Scotland announced in July 2020 that it had also chosen the ESV Catholic Edition for its Lectionary, as the bishops of England and Wales report.

Is it word for word?

What text is it based on?
The ESV text, which the ESV preface says follows the Masoretic text in Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia and the UBS 5th and Nestle-Aland 28th Greek editions, with the deuterocanonical books added and changes by Catholic scholars in India.
Is it approved for Catholic use?
Yes. The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India approved it in 2018 with an imprimatur, and the bishops of India, England and Wales, and Scotland use it for the Lectionary. It is not on the USCCB’s list of approved translations.
Who translated it?
Crossway’s Translation Oversight Committee produced the ESV; eight Catholic scholars in India, led by Lucien Legrand, revised it for the Catholic Edition.
How does it differ from the ESV?
It adds the deuterocanonical books and additions and carries changes made by the Catholic scholars who reviewed the text; the publisher says the review followed the Vatican’s translation norms. It is sold separately by the Augustine Institute.
