Moderation policy
REVA Digital LLC builds, hosts and operates Christian Rated. Authorized representatives of participating companies can monitor reviews and take part in moderation approvals under the published rules.
We moderate conduct and relevance, not whether a review agrees with us. Critical and positive reviews follow the same rules. A human moderation decision must identify its reason, and removals record the review’s sentiment so readers can inspect the pattern.
Who operates the site, and who takes part
Built, Hosted and Operated by REVA Digital LLC. Participating companies can be given organization-based access to monitor the review queue, reports, appeals and moderation proposals, and to take part in review approvals. A representative acts for one organization at a time; participation does not make that company a co-operator of the site.
Access is assigned to named accounts as moderators or organization administrators. The registered organizations and their assigned moderator counts are shown below. Company 1, Company 2 and Company 3 are placeholder names, not evidence that those companies have accounts, approved anything or completed an outside review.
Review moderation access is separate from REVA’s site administration, account management, private support and maker requests, and seller-link agreements. Those remain operator responsibilities. A commercial agreement does not grant moderation access or influence a review’s rating.
Which decisions need another organization
| Action | Who can act |
|---|---|
| Publish a pending review | An authorized moderator from REVA or a participating company. Publication does not decide whether the review counts. |
| Move a review to theological notes, or keep a reported review | An authorized moderator records the action and its reason. |
| Decline a review, remove a review or freeze a listing | One organization proposes the action; a different person from a second organization normally confirms it before it takes effect. The limited operator override below is the exception. |
| Reject a proposal | An authorized moderator from an organization other than the one that proposed it. |
| Withdraw a proposal | Its proposer or an administrator of the proposing organization. |
| Decide an appeal | Normally an organization that did not take the disputed action, and never the same person. A limited, recorded operator override can apply as described below. |
A second confirmation is a review of a specific moderation proposal. It does not mean every company has approved every review, product or seller link. Changes to a score still follow the published eligibility rule and methodology, not a moderator’s preference.
How a review reaches the public page
- The submission is checked for duplicate text and excessive links. These automatic submission checks can reject a submission before human moderation and tell the author why.
- When automated screening is enabled, a classifier helps prioritize the human queue. It does not publish or decline a review. If screening is disabled or unavailable, human review remains available.
- An authorized moderator can approve a pending review for publication. Trusted authors can publish without waiting for that initial approval; their reviews remain subject to reports and moderation.
- Published reviews are counted only when they meet the eligibility rule. A published review that does not count keeps its explanation beside it.
- Authors can replace or withdraw their own reviews from My reviews. A replacement goes through the applicable checks again.
A decline happens before publication. A removal happens afterwards. A pending placeholder does not expose the review text, title, rating or author’s identity.
Reasons for a human decline or removal
| Reason | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Suspected fake | Evidence of fabricated use, coordinated submissions or an undeclared maker connection. |
| Unrelated to the resource | A different product, a shop or delivery complaint, or an argument unrelated to the listed work. |
| Harassment or obscenity | Threats, slurs, obscenity or attacks on another reviewer. |
| Personal information about a private person | Private names, addresses, workplaces, contact details or images. |
| A review of a person | A verdict on a creator’s character, sincerity or salvation rather than the listed work. |
A review is not removed merely for being negative, for disagreeing with a tradition, or for criticizing REVA or another participating company. A company with a connection to the resource must disclose that connection and recuse from the decision.
Reports and theological notes
Signed-in readers can report a review with a reason. Authorized moderators can review reports and keep the review with a recorded explanation, or propose a removal under the reasons above. Reports are not sent automatically to an unnamed outside reviewer.
A doctrinal argument can be moved to a theological note instead of being removed. It remains visible and attributed, but does not affect the headline share or meters. The author can appeal that decision.
Proposals and the operator override
The normal route for a decline, removal or freeze involves two organizations and two different people. Open proposals expire after the configured expiry period; an expired proposal does not authorize an action. The default expiry period is 14 days.
A REVA organization administrator may confirm REVA’s own organization’s proposal without a second organization when no participating partner has an assigned moderator, or after the configured override waiting period if that timed route is enabled. The default waiting period is 7 days. The person confirming still cannot be the proposer. A partner’s proposal follows the normal second-organization route; REVA can be that second organization.
An override is explicitly marked in the proposal and public log and counted separately on Transparency. It must not be described as approval by another company. The live access section below shows the configured proposal periods.
Appeals
Appeals are submitted from My reviews. The normal deciding organization must not have taken the disputed action, and the person who acted cannot decide the appeal. If a different organization cannot decide, the code permits a recorded decision by a different REVA organization administrator when no alternative organization can act, or after the configured waiting period when that timed route is enabled.
The outcome and written decision are retained. Participating companies can take part through their assigned moderation roles; participation does not imply a separately commissioned outside audit.
What is recorded
The moderation record identifies the people and organizations acting, the action, reason and applicable proposal. Public log events and aggregate counts make moderation outcomes inspectable; they do not prove that a person’s judgment was fair. Removals of reviews about REVA products are reported separately. Completed outside oversight is credited only when the reviewer and work are identified on the conflicts page.
Solana anchoring is a separate optional verification service. Its current status and any confirmed anchors are shown on Verify; this policy does not promise an anchor within five minutes of every action.
Freezes, children and limits
A freeze pauses new reviews and votes on one listing for a stated reason; existing reviews remain visible. Starting a freeze uses the proposal process above.
Reviews of children’s resources are written by adults about their own household’s use. Reviews and votes are not collected from children.
Moderation access does not permit editing another person’s review, setting a rating by hand or purchasing a favorable outcome. REVA remains accountable as the operator even when another organization participates. Concerns about a conflict or a moderation decision can be raised through Support or the appropriate report or appeal route.
Operator and moderation access
Built, Hosted and Operated by REVA Digital LLC.Authorized representatives of participating companies can monitor the review process and take part in review approvals and moderation proposals.
The list below records registered organizations and assigned moderators. Registration, commercial agreements and collaboration placeholders do not by themselves grant access or certify an outside review.
- REVA · site operator · Assigned moderators: 0 · No moderator accounts assigned · Registered 26 October 2026
A decline, removal or freeze normally needs confirmation by a different person from a second organization. A limited operator override is recorded separately on Transparency.
Configured proposal expiry: 14 days.
A REVA organization administrator may use the recorded override when no partner has an assigned moderator, or after 7 days. The proposer cannot confirm their own proposal.
